Why School-Based Work?
I work alongside schools to support children, families and staff through a relational, trauma-informed approach. Services can be tailored to meet the needs of your setting and may include:
- Individual Play Therapy

- Whole-school trauma-informed support
Every school is different, so I am happy to discuss your needs and create a package that works for your setting.

Starting therapy
Taking the first step can feel daunting. I offer a free 15-minute telephone consultation to give you the opportunity to tell me a little about your child, ask any questions, and explore whether play therapy feels like the right fit for your family. There is no obligation to continue.
For children
Sessions are based around play. This might include drawing, storytelling, imaginative play, or simply being.
There is no pressure to talk or perform. I follow the child’s pace.
Over time, therapy can support children to:
Feel more emotionally settled
Understand their feelings
Express themselves more safely
Feel more secure in relationships

For parents
Parent work is a space to slow things down and make sense of what is happening at home.
We might explore:

Working together
I may work with children, parents, or both depending on need. I also liaise with schools where appropriate.
The aim is always the same: understanding what is going on underneath, so things can shift from the inside out.

It’s completely okay to feel unsure. You don’t need to have it all figured out — just a starting point.
